AEROSMITH To Issue “Greatest Hits”-Style CD, New Material Included

March 13, 2002

Veteran hard rockers AEROSMITH have begun writing material for their next studio CD with Just Push Play producer Marti Frederiksen during a recent stint in Maui, Hawaii and are hoping to include a couple of new tracks on an upcoming “Greatest Hits”-style CD that would encompass the band's entire recording history. According to guitarist Joe Perry, “we felt we would take the momentum of playing, of just capturing that feeling at the end of a tour [and writing new material as soon as we got off the road]...I know personally my playing is better just from playing live and hearing how the fans reacted to the songs off the record, so we kind of wanted to take some of that energy and sit down and see what we got.” A spring release is expected.
